The driver inspects the vehicle by walking around it and checking all the important points as follows: 1 Check engine oil with dipstick. It is the driver that possesses the best knowledge of the vehicle and any observations made by the driver during the daily inspection are important for future maintenance measures. We recommend washing the chassis in conjunction with an annual service in order to facilitate inspection and repair during the servicing. Buses driven on wet road surfaces with salt and sand as well as buses washed with high-pressure jets require more lubricating service. Since operating conditions can vary depending on how the vehicle is used, it is important that the servicing garage adapts the service requirements of the bus in consultation with the customer. Maintenance service for the B12M and B12B can be adapted to each individual vehicle with the service intervals described in the Volvo Bus service literature. From a warranty point of view, the Volvo Bus service and maintenance program must be followed for the warranty to apply. Good road safety, reliability and economy will be maintained with regular preventive maintenance. It is essential to follow service instructions thoroughly so that the bus will maintain its original characteristics during its entire service life. It is intended for use with the B12M and B12B.
